I am a proud Thornbury resident, homeowner and year-round member of the Blue Mountains community. I believe local government should listen to residents, act in their interests and be accountable for the decisions it makes.
Protecting what makes our community special
I am running for Town Council to help protect the qualities that make the Blue Mountains such a special place to live. That means responsible spending, thoughtful growth and a strong voice for local families, seniors and small businesses.
Experience that strengthens accountability
Throughout my career, I have helped organizations protect the public interest by uncovering fraud, improving financial accountability and standing up to political interference. As a Certified Fraud Examiner and Canadian Securities Certificate holder, I bring decades of practical experience working with business and public leaders in Canada and internationally.
My Commitments to the Blue Mountains
I bring more than 20 years of international experience in financial due diligence and anti-fraud work. I know how to ask tough questions, challenge wasteful spending and protect the public’s money.
As a councillor, I will:
- Protect taxpayer dollars from waste, corruption and mismanagement.
- Push for transparent, responsible spending so residents can see where their money is going.
- Oppose costly decisions that drive up taxes and place more pressure on families and local businesses.
The Blue Mountains is growing, and I believe that growth must be managed carefully. We can plan for the future without losing the rural character, quality of life and sense of community that make this town special.
As a councillor, I will:
- Protect farmland and support balanced growth that respects our rural character.
- Support small businesses by reducing unnecessary red tape and backing development that fits the community.
- Champion more housing options and long-term care for seniors so longtime residents can remain in the community they helped build.
Good local government starts with showing up, listening and being accountable throughout the year, not only at election time. As a full-time resident and committed member of this community, I will be present, accessible and responsive.
As a councillor, I will:
- Meet regularly with residents, community groups and non-profits.
- Respond to questions, concerns and ideas in a timely and respectful way.
- Show up consistently for council meetings, community discussions and the decisions that shape our town’s future.
